Rocky’s isn’t your typical NYC imitation spot. Owner Bill Vissicchio transports hometown vibes and flavors to Savannah’s bustling food scene. Hailing from Long Island, Vissicchio’s experience with street deli food makes him a NYC-style sandwich connoisseur. With 35 years in restaurants, he left the “city that never sleeps” in 2006 for Savannah. Despite the 800-mile gap, the taste of authentic New York bagels and deli sandwiches lingers. In 2016, Vissicchio brought his roots to Savannah to capture NYC’s essence perfectly.

For a nostalgic Upper East Side experience, head to Rocky’s at the Shops in Sandfly. Vissicchio and his team spend weeks perfecting ingredients like pastrami and cornbread. Start your day with a “Baconeggncheese” or savor sandwiches so true to New York culture, you’ll exclaim, “Fuhgettaboutit!”
