105 Years Young

Born in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1918, on Friday, Retired Colonel Bill Wheeler turned 105 years old yesterday.  Nate and Belinda Shaffer hosted a luncheon at Wiley’s Championship BBQ.  Family, friends, and representatives from Fort Stewart were on hand to celebrate this true American hero.  Colonel Wheeler also received a gold medal of appreciation from Chatham County and letter from Governor Brian Kemp sending wishes for a happy birthday and gratitude for his military service from the State of Georgia.
