Nine Line 5K/10K
In honor of Armed Forces Day, on May 20, the Nine Line Foundation and Nine Line Apparel held its 4th Annual 5K/10K Run for the Wounded. The event took place at the historic Grayson Stadium at Daffin Park, located in beautiful downtown Savannah. Each year the proceeds go towards benefiting a veteran in need. This year, the recipient was Eric Morante, a USMC veteran who lost his leg after a suicide bomber attack in 2007. The proceeds are to assist him in building his dream home, one that is 100% handicapped-accessible. This year, the foundation raised over $65,000 for the construction to make SGT Morante’s dream a reality. The run was sponsored by South magazine, American heroes, American Airlines, Savannah Bananas and countless other reputable organizations. The run was a wild success. It brought hope for Morante as well as proves that the south fully supports wounded veterans. We’d like to thank all those who have served.
