The Bowen Law Group

Published:

One gets the best of both worlds at The Bowen Law Group: big firm experience and expertise along with the attention and service of a small firm.

Charles Bowen, a Georgetown Law graduate, took his decade of experience working at one of the top law firms in Atlanta and founded his own firm that specifically caters to the needs of the Savannah business community.

His clients run the gamut from small companies to large corporations. The firm handles every aspect of business law, from initial start-up to daily operations to complex litigation. In fact, many of the companies that Bowen helped form and advise have gone on to become some of Savannah’s most successful businesses.

“Being able to assist local entrepreneurs and small business owners is truly rewarding,” Bowen said. “There is nothing more fulfilling than watching a client not only find success, but knowing that they achieved it through hard work, ingenuity, and integrity.”

The Bowen Law Group has also become known nationally as a legal powerhouse in the field of entertainment law. Bowen is deeply enmeshed in Savannah’s film, television, and commercial production industry and is an avid supporter of the local arts community.

Last year, Bowen founded Southern Gateway Production Services to ensure a seamless experience for out-of-town producers coming to Savannah to film their projects. Southern Gateway offers an array of exclusive services to motion picture and television productions, including access to IATSE National Term Agreements, the brokering of Georgia state tax credits, and helping productions procure local crew and vendors.

“Savannah is well on its way to becoming one of the premier film destinations in the world,” Bowen said. “Through both The Bowen Law Group and Southern Gateway, it is truly an honor to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Savannah entertainment industry.”

Bowen, the Renaissance Man

Bowen has long held a reputation as a Renaissance man, thus his expansion further into the arts and entertainment industry should come as no surprise. The firm’s office in Savannah features several commissioned artworks by local artists as well as one of Savannah’s most extensive collections of antique furniture and historic photographs and documents. Bowen also founded the Savannah Film Alliance in 2015 and has represented movie and television productions from all over the world.

Bowen is recognized as one of the best corporate attorneys in the country. He earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, the highest possible rating based upon confidential surveys of other attorneys. His fellow bar members have chosen him as one of Georgia Trend’s Legal Elite in two categories: Business Law and Corporate Law. He was recently named Savannah’s “Business Advocate of the Year” by the Savannah Morning News and he has received the Helen V. Head Small Business Advocate Award from the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce.

Bowen is the author of three eBooks on business formation, intellectual property, and the entertainment industry. He frequently speaks at business functions, schools and legal education conferences on corporate practice. He serves on numerous local corporate, banking, transportation and entertainment boards and councils.

If you are in need of a star in the field of business or entertainment law, The Bowen Law Group should get top billing.

Scenes of the South

FACES OF THE SOUTH-THE TRILOGY GALLERY 5

This is not a celebration. It is not a salute. This, readers, is a manifesto. It is a bold declaration of the richness of the South, of the majestic talents, relentless ambition and singular vision that reside just behind each face you pass in your travels. These are the faces of the people who are creating the new South through the sweat of their brow and the depth of their passions. But if you never look closer you may never know how deep that passion goes, and what it has accomplished.
