How Comfort and Function Can Still Be Stylish
Entertaining is a way of life for Southerners. Amy Dickson, owner of La Source Home, knows a thing or two about Southern style. Born and raised in Bluffton, South Carolina, and a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, Amy has always had an eye for style.
Every designer has his or her own take on style. Amy believes your home should stay fresh, not trendy, and classic not contrived.
“I believe a home is where real people live and gather and it must be comfortable and functional and not staged,” Dickson says.
No area holds true to this concept more than the kitchen. Amy saw the need for affordable luxury in this market and opened La Source Home in 2016 to service style minded homeowners.
Having a stylish home might seem like a challenge and taking even the first step may be overwhelming.
“Its so important to use the best quality that your budget can allow,” says Dickson. Carefully curated products such as Farrow and Ball paints, LaCornue kitchen systems, as well as beautiful fixtures and custom cabinetry really turn up the style volume. Amy knows these products make a statement but aren’t for every client so she tries to have something amazing for every price point.
Whether your project is in Savannah’s iconic historic district, coastal beaches, or under the mossy branches of a Lowcountry live oak, La Source Home is the resource the style savvy shopper has always needed. La Source is the regions exclusive retailer of Farrow and Ball paints and other premium products. Now with two showroom locations, visit the Bluffton showroom in Old Town or the Savannah showroom in the Starland district in Midtown Savannah.
