Give what you can this holiday season! 

December 1! that means it's Frank Sinatra's Holiday Station on Pandora time, right? Paper snowflake crafts, anyone?

When it comes to the holidays we always want to make sure that the people we love and care for get everything they have ever wanted, you know? You're shopping and find the perfect present. Two stores later you find another perfect present, and then it just never stops? Here's a list of some outreach programs you might be able to find the the just-right gifts for to! Why not get in the spirit of the holidays, and help out your community! Whether it be donations of food, clothes and toys, time, or labor, you can make a big difference in someone else's life by only giving a little. Check out what's going on around town this month!

2nd Annual Eat Drink and Be Ugly: An Ugly Sweater Benefit for SONATA

On December 7 come "jingle and mingle" at this lowcountry festival hosted by Miss Georgia, United States 2016, Ashia Miller. SONATA is a local organization that provides music lessons to children in the community who may or may not be able to afford music. This event is held at World of Beer on Broughton Street, at 6:30p.m. 

Coastal Pet Rescue's Holiday Potluck

It is that time of year again, to celebrate all we've accomplished as a team. Join us for the 2nd annual Holiday Potluck. Bring an item to share and you there! (Oh, and your families are welcome, come show off the hard work you've been doing for homeless pets!)

Become a Secret Santa 

Through December 14, bring light to a child's life by participating in Savannah/Chatham CASA's Secret Santa Initiative this holiday season. Serving the community's most vulnerable children: those who have entered the child welfare system after suffering abuse or neglect. Each Secret Santa is confidentially paired with a child or sibling group to fulfill their holiday wishes. The gifts are then delivered by CASA volunteers as a special delivery from Santa. 

Savannah/Chatham CASA will accept unwrapped holiday gift donations at the office through December 14. Contact Advocacy Coordinator, Charlene Peebles at (912)-447-8908. ext. 103, or charlene@savannahcasa.org 

Meals on Wheels 

Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors once a week for one hour. There are openings in downtown Savannah, Carver Heights, Eastside, Thunderbolt, Daffin Park, Savannah State, Southside Savannah, off Chatham Parkway, Williams Court, and Hinesville. Substitute volunteers are also needed throughout Savannah. All training and directions provided. The Angel Tree Program

Union Mission invites the general public to help those in need this holiday season by supporting the Angel Tree Program, which provides donated holiday gifts to local homeless children and families. 

"The Angel Tree Program is a great way to give back during the holiday season," said Frances Carter, interim president and CEO of Union Mission. "There are so many families in our community who are struggling this year.  This program offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a child." 

This amazing program has been around for some time! While currently operating under Salvation Army,  they are looking for toys and clothing, all new and unwrapped donations!

Relentless Grace Inc. needs stocking stuffers! 

Relentless Grace Inc.  is in need of filling up about 400 Christmas stockings with nonperishable food or gift certificates; and things like hygiene items, tooth brush, floss, little soaps, etc.
