Five Must Try Bluffton Restaurants
Who's stopping you from a quick getaway weekend in Bluffton?
The weekend is coming up. Wednesday is the day before the day before Friday, right? So we're almost there! Why not make a quick escape? Here are a few restaurants you'll want to hit up.
The Bluffton Room
Fine dining takes on a new meaning at The Bluffton Room, a chic, upscale restaurant that serves elevated cuisine without pretense. Choose from an extensive menu of gourmet steaks, seafood and produce and pair it with a bottle of wine from the restaurant’s curated wine selection. Pro tip: get your weekend started off early by dining at The Bluffton Room’s Friday lunch, which offers a select menu of New Orleans-inspired food and 25-cent mini martinis. It’s the ownership’s homage to the Creole tradition of the celebrated Friday lunch that storied restaurants like Galatoire’s have made a staple of the exceptional Nola dining scene.

Located in the crossroads of historic Old Town, FARM is setting the bar for exceptional culinary experiences in Bluffton. As the brainchild of local chef Brandon Carter, his friend and local farmer Ryan Williamson, and front of house/cocktail enthusiast Josh Heaton, FARM achieves what most restaurants only claim to – a true farm-to-table experience. Much of the produce served on the menu is grown at Lowcountry Farms, Williamson‘s private five-acre farm located in Bluffton. For meats, seafood, breads and more, they work with local purveyors to source the freshest foods from the region. Try the charcoal octopus – a perfect balance of smoke and spice – or the homemade tagliatelle with a fresh medley of vegetables and pasta and finish your meal with a fried peach ginger hand pie.

A casual hangout perfect for a boozy lunch or a dinner al fresco, Agave Sidebar is an authentic Tex-Mex bar and restaurant in Bluffton that is dependably delicious. If you want to sit inside, you’ll be seated at the expansive, granite bar – be sure to order the margarita – or if you’d like a table, you’ll be dining outside, so make sure to plan your trip on a cool evening. Go for the tacos, but stay for the ceviche. Served on top of a halved avocado, this ceviche is bright and zesty with a little kick to keep things interesting.

Great people-watching and inventive cuisine combine to create an elegant dining experience at The Pearl. Sit on the front patio of this locally owned eatery and take in the evening tourist traffic while noshing on fresh seafood and certified steaks and wash it down with any one of the restaurant’s handcrafted cocktails. Keep it local with the shrimp and grits or the May River flounder, or branch out and try the 16-ounce dry-aged Kansas City strip – bone-in, of course. But save room for dessert – the Nutella Cheesecake is to die for.
