Yin yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga designed to get into the deep tissue of your body. With the use of props, poses are held for extended periods of time, often several minutes. Moderate stress is applied to the connective tissues of the body with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. In this workshop, Morganne will lead you through a guided meditation followed by a yin yoga practice with a focus on hip openers. Props will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring any props they prefer from home, including: blocks, blankets, and bolsters.
