The Stress Management And Resiliency Training (SMART) program teaches self-care practices to help buffer daily stress, making us less emotionally and physically vulnerable to it. This program is designed to help participants regain control and build resilience through a variety of mind body principles and self-care interventions, leading to reduced medical symptoms and an enhanced quality of life. The program is is based on 40 years of clinical practice and scientific research in the field of Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Over 8 weeks you will learn a variety of stress management practices including, single pointed focus, breath awareness, body scanning, mindful awareness, guided imagery, lovingkindness, contemplation, and yoga.
