Puerto Rican food with a Latin twist.
Chaz Ortiz, founder of Chazito’s Latin Cuisine, is part of a big, happy family. With that sense of community, he thought to expand his brick and mortar restaurant by investing into a food truck. It all started in a tent on Riverstreet with Chaz and his wife Katherine serving food at the Latin Festival. Chaz's father eventually came on board and helped him open up a second food truck. Today, Chazito’s features Puerto Rican food with a Latin twist, taking the plates grandma would make and turning it into something fresh and new. Chazito’s serves authentic and innovative food like the Loko Mofongo, which has yucca, sweet and green plantain with garlic mash stuffed with your meat of choice (choose between beef tips, roasted pork, or Mojo Chicken and chunks of pork chicharon in the mash served with mango salsa and avocado.) Chazito’s also caters to weddings, family gatherings, business luncheons, and any events where you need that Latin twist!
