4 Southern Homes You Would Love to Own Now!

Published:

For centuries, the eyes of the world have turned to the South when it comes to lavish homes. Our palatial estates and waterfront riverhouses have set the trend for style and raised the bar for sophisticated comfort. We asked a few of our area’s finest realtors for a private showing of their most stunning properties.

Live where the opulence of Tuscany meets the eternal charms of waterfront living.

Resplendent with continental elegance within, and boasting a mesmerizing waterfront frontage location, this private oasis of riverfront charm offers fresh enchantment everywhere you look. Set on the Wilmington River, you can watch the water go by from the Tuscan style outdoor living spaces, from the deck of the sparkling swimming pool with its babbling waterfall, the dockhouse or anywhere in the house, really. Thanks to inspired architecture, that river view is seemingly everywhere, from the spacious formal dining room to the exquisite master suite - best viewed from your private wrap porch, naturally.

But what good is extravagance if it can’t be enjoyed with friends? You’ll find three elegantly appointed guest rooms throughout the villa, as well as blissful accommodations in a separate guest suite with kitchenette for long-term guests. When you’re ready to entertain them all, you can unwind in the massive two-story gallery room or come together over a gourmet meal prepared in the spacious chef’s kitchen with dual cooking and prep stations and easy access to the dining room. Set behind a private gate and boasting dazzling views of the Wilmington River, this magnificent villa seamlessly blends European luxury with classic Lowcountry charm.
